British London 10k Run 2009 · 12 July 2009 ·

The brain is the most complex organ in our body. It controls our emotions, senses and actions. So when it breaks down, we break down. We fund the best research to discover the causes, develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected. Let’s unite to accelerate progress. Today.

Story

Hi all!   As you can see, for once I shall be running for something which is not a boarding gate!!   ...It is beautiful to have the opportunity to run and collect funds for the Brain Research Trust, a medical charity where all money raised goes to the world-renowned Institute of Neurology, forming part of University College London.   I kindly request for you to donate some money so that we can help fund research to find out causes, best treatment and possible cure for over 250 recognised conditions, such as epilepsy, Alzhemer's, brain tumours, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and motor neurone disease. We can hope for the future that than many lives may be improved and saved.  And... if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you!!
