As a member of the nursing team at SBH, I know first-hand the excellent work that the trust does in making life a little easier for not only those people living with a terminal illness, but also their families and friends. I love my job; it's the best one I've ever had and wild horses wouldn't make me leave it, it's so rewarding and through it I've had the privelige to meet and care for some wonderful people, many of whom are sadly no longer with us. I work in the in-patient unit where the whole team pulls together with a shared aim; to make a difference. And 99% of the time, we do.

There's no charge to use the hospice's services, for however long or short term such services are required, but we rely on donations and the public's generosity to stay open. Please help us to keep going. No-one knows what the future holds - one day you, I or a member of our families may be relying on the work of SBH, or any of the other hospices in the UK, to get us through a difficult time.
