The challenge is to drive a 21 year old VW Scirocco Scala , 3,600 miles to Morocco (and back !) in 10-12 days. That will give the old girl a good run!

We will be going through , , Gibraltar, across the straights, and onto , and no air con! 

Take a look at the trailer being made, another Scirocco, or rather half of one. This will be colour coded to match the car, which will look really good. This is needed to carry all the spare parts for the car, plus our camping gear, tents, sleeping bags, cookers etc, everything we can think we may need. What’s the betting we will still forget the most obvious things! It will also grab lots of attention being a bit of novelty. Perfect.

To make things even more interesting, we will be filming the preparations / trip on one of Andys E Bay bargain cameras. This will be going on our travelogue site in the near future, so keep an eye out for that.

A few statistics about the AIR AMBULANCE SERVICE. They can get to the farthest point of Nottingham or Lincoln from there base to a patient in approx 19 minutes. They can then get the injured to a suitable hospital for treatment in approx 6-8 minutes. On average they are called out 3 times a day. Each mission costs around £400 . You can see why they need up to 1.5 million a year to keep going! The AIR AMBULANCE SERVICE is not part of the N.H.S, they have no funding from the government, and not entitled to lottery money. You are the reason they exist. This is a vital service to have in your region. One to be appreciated.
