What's the appeal?
On 7th June, 30 wild elephants arrived in the local village of Nalitabari, Bangladesh in search of food. Painfully through this process they destroyed 30 homes and household goods. Families in this very poor community already living without electricity have now also been left with no food or shelter.
The Student Support Centre's Scotland office has taken on the challenge to climb 4,406 ft
high up Ben Nevis on 27th August. They aim to raise £600 to help fund generators with special powered lights which will stop the elephants returning and repeating the damage!
