The challenge

The Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon is an exhilarating test of stamina, strength and fitness through some of the most spectacular areas of the Scottish Highlands.

The course:

  • Swim - 1.5k (0.8 miles) to North side of Loch Tay
  • Run/Walk - seven Munro's encompassing the Lawers and Ptarmigan Ridges to Morenish (approx 24k or 15 miles)
  • Kayak - 11k (7 miles) back to Ardtalnaig
  • Cycle - around Loch Tay 54k (34 miles)
  • Slice a melon - in two with a sword to stop the clock

It is anticipated to take between 11 - 13 hours to complete.

THE CAUSE

It is a very tough time to give , but also an incredibly important time to give.

Millions of families around the world experience hunger every day.

Food shortages due to disasters, conflicts and economic collapse

lead to malnutrition, disease and death.

Mercy Corps' food programmes, whether responding to large-scale emergencies or ongoing poverty, concentrate on those who are most vulnerable - children, the elderly, pregnant women and the homeless.

To Support the corp's in these tough times we have decided to throw ourselves fully into this amazing event ... pls dig deep

Many thanks
