We've been travelling in South America for six months and have heard bits and bobs about the notorious Carretera Austral. The Carretera Austral is a 1200km cycle through southern Chile and Argentina, beginning in Puerto Montt and ending in El Calafate. Quite spontaneously we have decided to hop on our bicycles and go for it! The cycle will take us between six and eight weeks, and we will be camping all the way. 

We are taking this opportunity to raise money for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland and would appreciate any donations!
