I am running the Glasgow half Marathon on the 5th of September to raise money for Erskine Hospital. Please visit <a href="http://www.erskine.org.uk/"><span style="color: #800080;">www.erskine.org.uk</span></a> to see some of the wonderful work that the hospital carries out.</p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 9.5pt;">Erskine cares for Ex-service men and women and not only cares for the hero's of days gone by but also for the hero's from the modern conflict's in Afghanistan and Iraq.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 9.5pt;">My Grand Father was a resident there for over 13 years and was lovingly cared for, so my family and I can speak from experience about the quality of care that is provided.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 9.5pt;">I recently had the privilege of attending RAF Lossiemouth and carried out some Land Mine detection training as part of the weekends activities which was a very sobering experience. How the soldiers in the field cope with the pressures and dangers that these guys face on a daily basis is truly incredible.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 9.5pt;">So having said all that I've decided to endanger my own life by dragging my 17 Stone back side for 13 and half miles round Glasgow for this great cause.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt;">To my friends, I’ll never do this again so give what you can.</span></p>
