Hey guys, as you probably already know by coming to this page, I have decided to run a leisurely 26.2 miles all in the name of charity! That's right, I am competing in the Robin Hood Marathon on Sunday 12th September 2010. This has always been a huge ambition of mine but I have always found an excuse to say 'maybe next year'... well not anymore! On a bus journey deep in thought around 3 weeks ago, something clicked and from nowhere I asked myself 'what is stopping you?' and the only answer I could find was 'myself'. Well of course that is no excuse and so the very next day I was confirmed as a competitor in the Robin Hood Marathon 2010. Of course, this is not all about me. An upcoming trip to The Gambia has inspired me to do what little I can for the people of Africa and Asia and so I will be dedicating my run to them, through WaterAid.
