On 13 April I ran the London Marathon for The Children's Society to celebrate my 50th birthday.    It was a really exciting day; in spite of several downpours I finished in 4:39, which just beat my goal of 4:40.  I'm very happy to have done it and was left with only a sore knee, but also some really good conditioning, to show for it.
