This will be our 2nd walk to cure and will be held at hazelhead park, aberdeen on the 13th september 2009, the walk will last 5 miles, we are walking in support of my son who has type 1 diabetes and for all children who have diabetes.

My son was diagnosed when he was 2 and had started to go into a diabetic ketoacidosis coma as the dr didnt think he could have diabetes as he was so young, so the more awareness there is on the condition the better.

Last year the scotland walk to cure raised over £170,000

The Walk is a fun way for families, friends and workmates to get involved and make a difference to the lives of over 350,000 people in the UK who have type 1 (juvenile) diabetes.  Everyone can join in and Walk to Cure Diabetes; refreshments and entertainment will be available on the day, making it a fantastic fun day out for all the family.
