We are the 'leading edge team', consisting of Mark Mellors, Dan Norrish and Mark Bunyan from GKN Aerospace Luton.  

The 'Scrapheap Challenge Roadshow' has challenged us to a head to head drag racing duel over 100m dash - no engines allowed.  In total there are 16 Teams who are going green. 

With just 6 weeks to build our juice free dragsters, from scrap, starting on 24th June 2007, the challenge is on!!

Our green propulsion system is... elastic!  Construction ideas are flowing and we are on the scrounge for materials, particularly bungee chord, so if you can help please contact us.

After we have built our machine we need to get ourselves to The Science Museum, Wroughton in Swindon on Saturday 4th August 2007.  The event will be captured by 'rdfmedia' in a 60 minute programme planned to be aired on Channel 4.  If you would like a day out, please come and support us.
