UPDATE: I finished the marathon in 3:37.18 I am very pleased with the time and had an amazing day. Thank you very much to everyone for their support. It's time for me to take it easy for a while, Jo's turn next at the Edinburgh marathon on 31 May!!!
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
Scully is attempting his first marathon on the streets of London on 26 April 2009 and Jo is part of a relay team completing the Edinburgh marathon on 31 May 2009 (her leg of the race is 8.1 miles). Rather than hit you all up twice for a donation we are teaming together to raise money for this great cause.
Many of you will know about JoLt through Jo's involvement as a former trustee. For those of you who don't, The JoLt Trust is a small charity, run on a totally voluntary basis, which organises 'journeys of a lifetime' every two years for groups of young people (from fourteen to twenty one years) with significant disadvantages or disabilities.
For many the journey is a life-transforming event, 'jolting' them out of their old lives, and helping them to grow in confidence and self-esteem.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Journey of a Lifetime Trust (JoLt) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Please donate what you can, no amount is too small.
Thank you for your support
Scully and Jo
P.S. Please don't forget to support my brother who is also running the London Marathon. Visit his website at http://www.justgiving.com/runcullyrun
