Story

Hello

Team Jan and Thomas form sunny se1 are fundraising for the charity abseil from Guy's Tower on 16th May in aid of Myastehia Gravies. It's a long way down - 500ft  or 33 stories. Please be generous for this good cause if you can.

Thank you!

One common thread on the Myasthenia Gravis Organisation forum is how people are often frustrated by complaining to the medical profession before diagnosis is achieved. It is a difficult thing to diagnose because symptoms can vary on a daily basis from hour to hour in fact - and try explaining to people that what you could do this morning you can't do this afternoon! Even G.P's do not know anything about it because they may only come accross it once in their practice.

The dribbling where you are unable to swallow saliva, the inability to swallow or even chew food...which is sometimes regurgitated. The stoney faced look when really you are quite happy, unable to clean your teeth properly or spit in the sink because your tongue wont go where you want it to.
The breathlessness, inability to breathe because muscles that control respiration have lost their use, the falling down, the weakness and more rotten the loss or slurring of speech. The double vision, the drooping eyelid....just to name a few of the symptoms. And little children can have this disease too.
