Story

Jon Jepson Black Belt Academy, SSB Steelers Wheelchair Basketball Team and Castle Martial Arts Sheffield have teamed up to do a once in a life time sea to sea run, from the west coast of england to the east coast a total of 130 miles in 6 days (that's nearly a marathon a day!!) through the lake district. The warriors that are taking on this challange are:-

Colin Price (Sheffield Steelers Wheelchair Basketball)

James Sheehan (Castle MA)

Paul Mansfield (JJBBA)

George Carter (JJBBA)

Rick Maynell (JJBBA)

HerbieKaur (JJBBA)

Nathan Houghton (Castle MA)

Jamie Smyth (Castle MA)

Anthony Judge (Castle MA)

This is all in Aid of the SSB Steelers Junior Wheelchair Basketball Club who are based in Sheffield and Clic Sargent. The Steelers give young physically disabled children opportunitys to play sport and have life experiences such as outward bound courses which can give confidence, independence and self belief and a good base for there future.

The Steelers who are a registred charity 700976 are based at Sheffields Spinal Injuries Unit where they use the the facilities (Sports Hall) which is attached to the unit. Steelers will use the money raised to fund a weekend at The Calvert Trust Adventure Centre, in Kielder, for up to 20 children and young adults. Also Steelers would like to donate a piece of rehabilitation equipment for the Spinal Injuries Unit which will enable the newly spinally injured  to speed up their rehabilitation and rebuild their lives, many of the Steelers players have ben patients at the unit over the past 30 years.

Clic Sargent is in Memory of "Nisha" a 17yr old who use to train at JJBBA, fought a 5yr battle with cancer, she lost her fight July 2009. Our goal is raise £5000 for each of these great causes and to do this we ned your help! So please support us and ask your family and friends to support us too.
