My story
To all you lovers and haters,
Once again I am participating in my 14th London Marathon where I will be running round hoping to make it in a pain free day. As you know I am deluded, for participating and the fact that I would have completed Barcelona Marathon (25 /03) and Paris Marathon a week before (15/04) but hey I'm from Shrub End and everyones always running from something or somebody on that Estate.I have befriended alot of people over the years and I have reached my target every year down to you all and your generosity. I know times are tight and I'm not going to lecture anyone on how they spend there money, however Im running for a charity in the best marathon in the world subjecting myself to highest level of pain and to me that means one thing get your wallet out, purse out, savings blah, blah blah.....
I am running for MEDICS which I have ran for over the past 3 years raising funds for what I feel is one of the genuine charities( no high admin bills). All the links you require will be at the bottom of this page if you wish to check and see that I am not talking crap!!
MEDICS:
MEDICS is an Accident and Emergency Doctor Service - the Mid-Essex Doctors Immediate Care Scheme - which operates under the nationwide BASICS organisation (British Association for Immediate Care).
MEDICS Doctors are called to provide emergency medical intervention at :
road traffic accidents airport emergencies agricultural accidents serious medical emergencies fires sports and other activity injuries
MEDICS Doctors are on call 24 hours a day for 365 days each year. When a 999 call is received, a MEDICS Doctor is called out by the Essex Ambulance Service.
Each year, MEDICS Doctors attend over 250 emergencies in our county.
