Just one week to go before the fundraising event begins. A great big thank you goes out to all of you who have kindly made donations its much appreciated and is all going to help make a difference at the MND Association.

Less than three weeks now before the challenge begins. The donations have still been coming in and I am really grateful for all the kind support to date thats been given. Still a few weeks left to try and hit my target but over the moon with what we have raised so far its amazing.

I just wanted to check back in and repeat my big thanks for all the donations made to date its very much appreciated in helping reach our target and hopefully even exceed the figure with all your help. I also wanted to briefly outline what some of your kind donations will do to make a difference to a person living with MND. Here are just a few examples:

£15 buys an adapted cutleryset. For someone with MND it’s
more than just a cutlery set, it’s the dignity of being able to feed
yourself.

£50 funds laboratory equipment for a days vital research into finding out the causes of MND.

£150 operates the MND Connect support and information line for
half a day – having someone to talk to really can make a world of
difference.

£500 funds the installation of a stair lift – anything that can extend independence and allow someone to stay in their own home is so important.

£1,000 buys a riser recliner armchair to help maintain a level of mobility for those who can no longer stand unaided.

£3,000 funds an MND expert researcher for one month and keeps the hope of a cure alive.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. The page has been set up to cover my wacky idea to raise much needed funds and do something worthwhile for a well deserving charity which helps many families on a day to day basis assisting those suffering from Motor Neurone Disease which has touched the heart of our family too in recent times.

The challenge set, is to drive around the coast of Great Britain (England-Wales-Scotland) using A & B roads mainly and keeping the sea within view whereever possible - all in 8 days!!!!!!!
