Story
Thanks for visiting my page and supporting my challenge for Action Cancer! This year I will be
7th May - Running 26.2 miles in the Belfast Marathon
12th May - Skydive from 13,000 feet
13th-22nd September - Climb over 19,000 feet to the summit of Kilimanjaro
In the past few years I have taken part in many fundraising events such as Amsterdam, Lisburn, Ards Half Marathons, Belfast, Dublin & New York Full Marathons, trekked the Grand Canyon & trekked through the rift valley in Tanzania.
By taking part in these events, almost running myself into the group and constantly moaning about my injuries, all my friends and family have helped me raise over £10,000 for Action Cancer!
So in 2012 I will be pushing myself to the limits and stepping up the challenge, I will be attempting to climb 19,000+ feet to the summit of Kilimanjaro! 6 days of trekking, over 7 hours per day to the highest point in Africa up the highest free standing mountain in the world! I will also be running the Belfast City Marathon on 7th May 2012
Thousands of people in our country suffer from cancer every day, a few days of pain for me will help raise money to save people lives and prevent them from having to go through what many of our loved ones have had to go through, Unfortunately over the years I have lost my sister, my dad, cousins and other close friends to cancer. I take part in these challenges in honour of their memory and to try and help others fight and prevent cancer.
So if you would like to help with my fundraising challenge you can donate by card through the page, by text by texting 'sean91' £1 to 70070 or by donating in person :)
I will also be running several fundraising activities over the next few others, if you'd like to help out then please let me know!
Cheers
Seán
