Story

N.B. I will in fact be doing this challenge in May 2010

Heya guys! Cheers for checking this page out. If you choose to sponsor me in this way be assured that your details are completely secure. Please don't feel the obligation to sponsor me huge amounts if that's what you're here to do but this money will be going towards good work done by Care and Relief for the Young (CRY) who's web page you can check out here: http://www.cry.org.uk/

Basically you're sponsoring me to hike the trail through the Andes Mountains to Machu Picchu in June. I am currently in training for it and am down the gym most days so be assured that I will actually succeed in doing it. For more information about this challenge look here: http://www.cry.org.uk/page/incatrail

Also I will be performing various social action projects whilst in Cuzco with local schools, doing various jobs like painting and general physical labour and interacting with the children.

This challenge is something that I really want to be able to do for many reasons. First and possibly most obvious is that I love hiking and social action projects (since doing a similar itinerary in Tanzania) and this presents a new and difficult challenge with a very rewarding conclusion. secondly, by doing this I am able to assist the work of CRY, indirectly giving disadvantaged children a chance at a better life. Thirdly and finally I want an experience such as this to remember for the rest of my life (on top of going to Tanzania of course!)

This is not about you giving me huge sums of money (even if the target amount suggests otherwise) its about lots of people donating small amounts and chipping away at the target little by little.

Thanks for reading and God bless.
