Who are we? We are three brothers from Stonehaven who enjoy the outdoors a great deal. We are hoping to raise money to support the Lochaber Mountain Rescue in their tireless efforts to rescue, help and educate anyone who cares to venture outside onto some of Scotland's most challenging terrain, including the UK's highest peak (Ben Nevis). The Challenge We are going to tackle the route from the North Sea tideline at Stonehaven to the foot of Ben Nevis, just outside Fort William, before ascending the mountain. This will require a 150 mile cycle followed by a trek to the 4409ft summit. This will be a non-stop enduro-event. Our goal is to complete it in 24 hours. However, this is a gruelling expectation given uncertainties in variables such as weather and traffic, thus we have set ourselves a time limit of 30 hours. Why Donate? As more and more people look to the outdoors for adventure we feel it is crucial to support the important service provided by the LMR. Though we are careful not to put their outstanding reputation to the test, the teams presence has proven itself vital on many occassions. We feel this challenge offers us and others the opportunity to support the lifesaving work of the Lochaber Mountain Rescue - an organisation that provides peace of mind to those who enjoy outdoor pursuits and seek a real challenge on and around Ben Nevis. We are also raising funds for the Maritime Rescue Institute through this event, details of which may be found by following this link: www.justgiving.com/seatoseemri. Thank you for your time and visiting our fundraising page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Lochaber Mountain Rescue Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
We greatly appreciate your support!
