Stop Press 17 June 2010 : Well, we made it! The car survived the 2,200 mile round trip with only minor ailments and, I am pleased to be able to report, we came second in the 'challenges'. The team bonded well, although the patriarch was very, very tired at the end of it. Thank you once again to all those who have given their financial support - it is a very good cause. We are still hopeful that, with the outstanding pledges to come, we will achieve our stated target, which would be fantastic.
We, the Seldon Corsarians consisting of Mark (Big Daddy), Zara and Jonathan (2 of the troublesome offspring), have entered our 16 year old Vauxhall Corsa into the 2010 Urban Allstar Rally.
This will involve a drive of 1000 miles from High Wycombe to via , , and in order to raise funds for the Child Bereavement Charity. The rally starts on Thursday 10th June and, in order to succeed, it has to be completed by Sunday 13th June. If this was not tough enough in itself, we will also be tasked with a number of mystery challenges along the way.

We believe this will be a very testing challenge for the 3 of us - particularly as it will be the first time we have been in a confined space together for many a year! It will also be a big challenge for our beloved Corsa, which has now clocked up over 225,000 miles!
Nevertheless, despite it having to be welded on an annual basis for the last 3-4years, we are pleased to report that it has successfully passed the 2010 MOT! Hurray!!!
However it must be noted that none of us are recognised mechanics, so therein lies yet another challenge and the rest is down to prayer and possibly the RAC!!!
With your help, our aim is to raise as much money as possible for the Child Bereavement Charity, a very worthy charity that supports families and educates professionals both when a child dies and when a child is bereaved. Mark has been involved with the Charity since its launch in 1994 and is now proud to be a Trustee.
