Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
All of the money we raise goes straight to the charity through this page. The cost of the rally is paid by the 3 of us entering.
I have a personal reason for supporting this charity in that my 17 year old daughter Sophie, contracted meningococcal meningitis in July 2009 and fortunately survived after being very poorly and spending 3 days in intensive care at Newcastle General Hospital. The Meningitis Research Foundation provided support and valuable information to my family, when Sophie was recovering. You can read my story here.
This is what MRF can use your donation for:
Their Book of Experience contains over 100 stories from Foundation members who have been affected by meningitis and septicaemia.
We are competing in the 2010 banger rally to Valencia, a journey of some 1800 miles in a car that cost us £150.
The team members are, Chris Wilson, Mick Buckle and Ray Stevenson. Last year we raised over £1500 for charity doing a similar rally.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
