THE HIGH TEA CAST PRESENTS: SEX & MUGS & ROCK’N’ROLL
Two-time award nominated radio duo, online magazine Editors and female podcasters, The High Tea Cast, return to Kensington with Sex & Mugs & Rock’n’Roll.
The High Tea Cast girls are returning to Kensington with a stupendous blend of comedy, burlesque and the very best singalong rock’n’roll goodness you could hope to lay your eyes (and ears) on.
Following the undisputed success of last year’s Sex & Mugs & Rock’n’Roll - which raised the final £1300 for London based charity Janie’s School to finish building a school for the young girls of Cambodia - Sam Sparrow and Lea Rice will once again be returning to Archangel Nightclub with an entourage of boundless talent to strut, sing and dance their way to helping third world women build a life for themselves... and all you need to do to help is buy a ticket. (There’ll be free cake for everyone and the chance to win utterly amazing prizes too. Obviously.)
The event takes place on November 24th on the prestigious Kensington High Street at the Archangel Nightclub.
It’s a night packed with awesome entertainment from the likes of Vaccines’ pals Kid Champion and headteacher of London’s The Cheek Of It Burlesque School, Lady Cheek, followed swiftly by a DJ set ‘til 2am. This is all for the mere price of £8, and all proceeds will be donated to the incredible charity Janie's School. The cash raised will help maintain the Cambodian school’s facilities and stock textbooks so the girls there can be educated. The alternative for them is a life of repression - in Cambodia the sex trafficking of young, helpless girls is not uncommon. Founder of Janie’s School, Jennifer Begg, says:
“I started Janie's School as a way to honour my mum's memory as a strong woman who worked hard, along with my dad, to provide an education for her children. We didn't have to fight to go to school, learning wasn't political for us but in 2012 in the developing world, it is. Thanks to strong women like Sam and Lea, we're making a tangible difference in the world.
Eat cake + Dance + Laugh + Party = Real impact on childrens lives = WIN”
Book your tickets in advance (highly recommended - they’re already set to sell out) at www.aaa.uk.net, and have the time of your life while helping to save third world women.
