One of the world’s leading conservation organisations - we work across Australia and around the world to protect important lands and waters for nature and people. We work to solve pressing conservation issues, through delivering large-scale projects with our scientific and collaborative approach.

Story

Each summer a group of us swim to raise money for The Nature Conservancy Australia.  TNC does important work in a number of Australia's critical ecosystems.  In particular they are currently working to restore bays and estuaries across southern Australia.

This is complex long term work but something that I think will help protect Australia's beaches, reefs and coastal habitats for years to come.  This work will not lock up the environment and keep people out.  Instead it will improve water quality for swimmers and surfers and increase fish stocks for anglers.
