My story

Just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to all that have supported the GSR team and to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Sharon.

Hi

I am a fundraiser for The Swinfen Charitable Trust that helps to save lives through Telemedicine in the Developing World. Myself, Debbie Checksfield, Alan Griggs, Karen Everest and Charlie Mayo, better known as the FAB 5, will be running the Great South Run on the 30th October 2011. We hope to not only raise funds for the charity to set up medical links but also to raise enough money to build a new and much needed medical clinic in one of the poorest countries, NEPAL, which will help 4 connecting villages with a population of around 14,000 people.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Swinfen Charitable Trust was started 1998, with the aim of assisting poor, sick and disabled people in the developing world. The Trust's policy is to do this by establishing telemedicine links, using high quality digital cameras and email, between hospitals in the developing world and medical specialists worldwide, who generously give their advice on diagnosis and recommend treatment free of charge.
