Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. 

I hadn't planned on doing any fundraising this year as everyone was so good in supporting me in the 'race for life' last year - however! Mark is on a mailing list for Mercuryfm and they sent him details of this event they are running, abseiling down the Sofitel Hotel (the huge white one in the North Terminal Gatwick!) - I was just about to dismiss the idea (me and heights? - I don't think so) when I realised the monies raised would be split 50/50 between local charities and Cancer Research's work at the Royal Marsden - well as you will all know this is incredibly close to home for us as this is where Mark receives his treatment - so I thought some more and figured there was probably more than just a few of you out there who would sponsor me particularly if it means I am going to be scared whitless going over the side of this rather large building!

So there you have it - this is why, so please donate what you can and have yourself a little giggle over the weekend of 5 & 6 September as I make my descent!  (I'll publish details of the time and what day i get when i receive it - then you can come and cheer me on! - i'll need all the help I can get to walk over the top of the building... rope or no rope!)
