As I am sure some of you know, on 27th September 2009 I will be travelling to Brazil for an eleven day trip, to renovate a dilapidated school and a football pitch in partnership with the local population.

The project will take place in one of the poorest and most remote villages and will give the children and their parents the chance to continue their education in their own village, close to their families, rather than being obliged to move away.

The money you give here will not only go towards the project but will also raise vital funds for the bowel cancer research. Tragically bowel cancer is the second highest cause of cancer death, with over 44 people dying of the disease every day in the UK.

I need to raise a lot of money - at least £4,000, and I know we are living in a difficult financial world right now, so I really would appreciate it if you could help me.  Cancer doesn't recognise a recession.
