My story
Thanks for visiting my Bobby Moore Fund (Cancer Research UK) JustGiving page.
I'm running this year to fundraise for The Bobby Moore Fund (Cancer Research UK).
I've entered seven 2011 races for The Bobby Moore fund (or Cancer Research UK) - April - October, distances of 5K - 1/2 marathon, total race distance of 1.5 marathons:
1 - Newham 10K classic. 10th April. East London. Bobby Moore Fund.
Race # 3110. Completed - 1:00:10
2 - Race for Life 5K. 22nd May. Regent's Park. Cancer Research.
Race # 11249. Completed - 00:28:57
3 - Race for Life 5K. 5th June. Crystal Palace. Cancer Research.
Race # 910. Completed - 00:27:18 (PB even with the hills)
4 - Race for Life 5K. 3rd July. Blackheath. Cancer Research
Race # 10846. Completed - 00:27:57
5 - ASICS British 10K. 10th July. Central London. Bobby Moore Fund
Race # 40337. Completed - 00:57:19 (PB)
6 - Windsor Half Marathon. 25th September. Bobby Moore Fund
Race # 1747. Completed - 2:05:55 (PB)
7 - Big Fun Run 5K. 2nd October. Victoria Park. Bobby Moore Fund
Race # 2809. Completed - 00:29:09 (in the 29C heat, I'll take that time)
Phew! Makes me tired just thinking about it. Thankfully my 2011 running challenge is now completed.
The battle against cancer is a cause close to my heart as my mum has recently survived bowel cancer. She's a tough cookie and fought hard against the illness.
The Bobby Moore Fund and Cancer Research are very worthy causes and their work continues towards the cure for cancer.
I hope you can support financially. I really appreciate your generosity (small or large).
