Story

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to those that have donated to this page online also to all friends and family and members of CCGC that have given me cash and to the small businesses that sent me cheques that were banked directly into Macmillan Cancer Support bank account - Waverley Builders, Derek McGlynn, William Tracey, Hillhouse Quarry, G Bryden, Quantum, Drumbow Contracts, McDaid Bldg Services, Carr Mclean & Watson, Wood Group, Paul McLaren, John Paul, Balfour Beatty Glasgow Airport and Elderslie boys -my sons friends big thanks to Sammy Preston Joiners a small business with a big heart and colleagues at Malcolms.

Just back from doing the Cuban Revolution Cycle and boy was is a challenge!  What the Cubans refer to as undulations are hills and hills are near mountains!  An experience I'm still buzzing off of as there was so many wonderful things to see and the people that have nothing were so friendly and made you welcome.  One statement that stuck in all our heads was from a young woman "enjoy my country" I certainly did. Although toilets would have been nice!

Thank you for helping me to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Supprt, a cause that touches the lives of many and helps in a positive, uplifting and caring way.  After thinking long and hard I committed myself to the Cuba Cycle Challenge. I done this challenge alone although I met some lovely people in the group of 10 others.  This was the biggest physical challenge I have ever done in my life, but I was determined and did succeed.

Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal, it is much appreciated.
