On October 3rd 2009 I will be taking part in the Longmynd Hike, I have taken part in this event for the last four years and have completed it twice! It is a 50 mile non-stop hike across the Longmynd and surrounding areas in Shropshire, entrants are allowed 24 hours in which to complete the hike. For the last two years I have raised money through sponsorship for Greyhound Rescue West of England(GRWE) and this year I hope to raise at least £200.00 to help them to continue there work rehoming retired racing greyhounds and lurchers.

In preparation for the Longmynd Hike I will be taking part in several 25 mile hikes during the summer, starting with The Big Black Mountains Challenge in May.
