I am taking part in the Oxford Moonlight Stroll which takes place on the 30th June 2007.

Its a 9 and a half mile walk in aid of Sobell House Hospice where my best friend's mum Valerie was treated for cancer. Also walking with me are Valerie's 3 daughters and other close friends of the family.

Sobell House took great care of Valerie until she passed away peacefully on April 16th of this year. The hospice were so good to her and all the family during the time she spent there, so all of us wanted to give something back as a thank you for the amazing work they do. This was a fitting opportunity.

For those who don't know, (Sir Michael) Sobell house is part of the Churchill Hospital in Oxford. It is a peaceful and tranquil setting for those who spend their final days there, and the staff do their utmost to make the patients and families as comfortable as possible. It is run entirely on donations so please take the time to sponsor me a few pounds for this worthy cause.

I walk in memory of my best friend's dear mum and my friend Valerie. She fought this awful disease so hard, with such bravery and courage right until the very end.
