However, it has become increasingly expensive to maintain and to heat, and the Scouts, together with the Out-of-School Club who also regularly meet there, now want to replace it with a purpose-built hall that would also be a suitable venue for the many general clubs and societies which serve the community of South Petherton.
We aim to start building work in the Spring of 2011, so that the new Hut will be ready for use by the Autumn.
NEW, PERMANENT BUILDING:
• reduced maintenance*, lower running costs
• including wheelchair access and low-level kitchen surfaces
CLIMBING WALL:
can be hired out to suitably qualified usersINCREASED SPACE IN MAIN HALL
• better facilities for the Out-of-School Club
UNDERFLOOR HEATING:
• more efficient*, quiet operation, nothing projecting into the hall
ENLARGED STORAGE AREA:
IMPROVED SECURITY

We plan to make the new building as eco-friendly as possible with every
aspect geared to minimising its impact on the environment.
NOTHING
is impossible!
