About my Challenge

I have decided to challenge myself and so I have signed up to do a trek in Africa in May 2011. The money raised will go to Action Cancer, Northern Ireland's leading local cancer charity!

In this country, 1 in 3 people are affected by cancer at some stage. Action Cancer does amazing work providing lifesaving early detection, prevention and therapeutic support services. Action Cancer relies entirely on voluntary contributions and all money raised stays within Northern Ireland.

The trek will be in the Tanzanian Rift Valley and is led by a local Massai Tribe.

It is going to be a physical and financial challenge for me as I have a goal of £3500 (at least!!) to raise.

I have started planning some events already...so keep your eyes peeled in the near future!

In the meantime, to get the ball rolling, I have decided to set up this page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

I will be keeping you all up to date on my progress, events and training over the next 8 months!

Thanks so much everyone!
