2010 Cardiff Half Marathon · 17 October 2010 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A Team Of Runners, from Narberth and the surrounding area, are participating in Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 17th October 2010, raising awareness and funds for the charity (TCT), The Teenage Cancer Trust, which has a dedicated ward, based in the Heath Hospital,  Cardiff.

Many teenagers and their families,  in the Pembrokeshire area,  have received treatment and support upon this unit.  Many of you, viewing this page, will be aware that Shelley-Louise Harries, from Narberth, was one such patient, who despite her courage and bravery, sadly lost her battle against cancer earlier on this year.

The team of  runners -  (Shelley's Runners), total 25, and on race day we shall all be donned in vivid pink t-shirts, in memory of Shelley's bright and vivacious personality,  I would ask you all to support this great cause, as brilliantly as each and everyone of you supported Shelley, and her family throughout the past twelve months.
