About our charity : The Cynthia Spencer Charitable Trust The Cynthia Spencer Charitable Trust
The Friends Of Cynthia Spencer Hospice is a registered charity and was formed in 1990 by a few individuals; all of whom had come into contact with the Hospice when their respective husbands, wives and close family members had been patients. Since our formation we have gone from strength to strength and do a tremendous amount of fund-raising ourselves. The three main aims of the charity are: * To raise funds to help with the provision of items which are not available via the N.H.S and to buy those much needed extras for our patients. * To give support to the medical staff and patients in any way we can. * To promote awareness in the local community. The charity’s costs are minimal and therefore the majority of the funds raised are spent on patient care.

Our personal message:

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page, produced in memory of Sherri Fuller. (aka Shezling ). My Dad Vince, my brother Tom, my Grandmother Andrea and myself (Mike), my wife Tracey and Sherri's grandson Jamie have been made aware over the last 9 days, that Sherri was much loved, not only by us, but across the world and was a very popular lady.

Mum made the decision to be admitted to Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Northampton 9 days before she closed her eyes for her final journey. The round the clock care, ensured that Sherri's days and nights were as comfortable and pain free as was possible. Her family & friends who live locally were able to be with her at anytime of the day and night. She was never alone.

The care that was provided at the hospice to Sherri, was second to none and we are all so grateful to all of the staff and volunteers at the hospice.

We are initially raising money for a Flotation bed  (£2500) for the hospice, this is one of their priority needs. This type of bed is invaluable for palliative care and allowed Sherri to be in comfort and pain free up until her last moments.

Sherri particularly asked that should anyone wish to send her flowers, would they please consider sending a donation to the hospice in lieu of the flowers.

Thank You from us all

UPDATE (23/09/08): WE ARE WELL ON OUR WAY TO THE £2500 TARGET AND THERE WILL BE VARIOUS FUNDRAISING EVENTS HAPPENING IN THE FUTURE, ONCE WE FUND THE FIRST FLOTATION BED WE WILL WORK TO GET ANOTHER ONE.
