What am I raising money for? Shining Life Children's Trust is a charity founded by one friend of mine, and another friend is co-trustee. This year marks a landmark for Shining Life Children's Trust - it is 10 years old and is celebrating this by starting to work with a new community in Rikillagaskada, central Sri Lanka. Home to 1,000 people including 300 children, this tea picking community desperately needs our support. No household has electricity and all the community's washing and sanitary facilities are currently met by the river. We really hope that the cycle ride will go along way to raising the £30,000 we need to help these people obtain the standard of living they deserve. Find out more at www.shininglife.org

The ride itself is 56 miles around the Solent (through the New Forest, along the south coast of England and north coast of the Isle of Wight). Many thanks for your support.
