Asics 10K London Run 2009 · 12 July 2009 ·

Cosmic supports children’s and neonatal intensive care at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s Hospitals by funding life-saving equipment, ground-breaking research, specialist training, and providing vital support and accommodation for families during the toughest times.

Story

Alannah was born last August amid the fanfare of the Olympic opening ceremony. The day was filled with the intense joy and excitement you'd expect with a loved baby coming into the world.

Eight days later our lives were shattered when Alannah had the first of a series of cardiac arrests. We entered a period we never thought we'd come out of. Alannah is now a healthy, 10 month old .. and is the happiest baby we've ever seen. Those who know us know the story, and the subject matter of this short note is not to play on emotion, but to do something practical.

COSMIC is the charity that centralises fund raising for equipment and research at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at St. Mary's hospital*. We owe them more than money could ever pay for - but money is what is needed now.

We're running the London Asics 10K this Summer. Please sponsor us to help raise money for COSMIC. Please give whatever you can.
