This race took only seven hours. In comparison, the fight against cancer lasts many months or years. Cancer Research UK support the work of over 3,000 scientists, doctors and nurses working across the UK. Their annual scientific spend is more than £213 million, which is raised almost entirely through public donations. Their research is shared with specialists world-wide and benefits everyone who has to combat cancer.
The reason for supporting Cancer Research UK was never more apparent than in 2002 and 2003, when Michelle was given a wonderful extra year with her mum, Irene; a year that would not have been possible without their research. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support,
Andy, Matthias, Richard, Helen and Michelle.
