Chopping my hair for cancer awareness · 4 November 2017

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Hi, my name's Shruthi and I am 15 years old. I have been supporting Cancer Research and raising awareness for children with cancer through ACT (Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust) for a few years now. I have been growing my hair over the past years until it reaches the length for me to cut it off and give it to charity to make wigs for children with cancer.  Unfortunately, ACT doesn't have the facilities to make wigs so instead, I will be donating my chopped off hair through the Little Princess Trust. Even though I love having my long hair, which I have grown so attentively, I know someone else deserves it more than I do and just to make them smile and a little bit stronger and happier in their battle against cancer I thought it would be kind to cut my hair.

Please support me in this by donating a little money for the Little Princess Trust. It would mean a lot to all the children out there and you could be making a difference!
