In February 2012, Team XieXie, 2 intrepid travelers from Hong Kong will embark on the journey of a lifetime – they will drive 1500km across the frozen Siberian wilderness on an antique Ural motorbike to the only town in the world sitting on the Arctic Circle, all in the name of the amazing charity that is Room to Read.
This is not an adventure for the faint of heart or lover of comfort, this is a freezing beast of an adventure that will make grown men wimper and proven adventurers reach for their Kleenex.
Imagine locking yourself in your freezer for twelve days and you're not even nearly there: Siberia in the depths of winter makes your freezer feel like the Costa del Sol. Not only will we have to deal with the extremity-withering cold, we’re also in a land where wolves and bears roam the forests and there will often be hundreds of kilometers between us and any form of human habitation.
There's no guarantee of making it to the finish line and no back-up. It's just 2 friends, 650cc of Soviet engineering genius and the awe-inspiring Siberian wilderness.
