Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online. We are Microfinance Forum of London at Morgan Stanley and this fundraising page is dedicated to BRAC UK for the cyclone SIDR relief.

On the 15th of November 2007, a terrible cyclone hit 15 coastal districsts of Bangladesh. 3,300 people were killed and more than 8.5 million people are estimated to have been affected by the disaster. The material damage is also severe with nearly 564,000 homes completely destroyed and 885,280 damaged. The country's emergecy government said it needed one billion dollars to rebuild the devastated coastal communities and protect itself from increased disasters due to climate change.

We are also inviting all the donors to join us to the networking event taking place on the 23rd of Jan 2008 at Dust Bar in Farringdon, London.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: BRAC UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
