We give children living in poverty support to break their cycle of poverty
Story
A 1 litre car, 2 guys, 4 weeks and 10000 miles of very dubious roads………………………IT MUST BE THE MONGOL RALLY!!!!!!!!
The SILK ROAD RAIDERS (namely James & Huw) have entered the Mongol Rally 2010; departing Goodwood in Sussex at the end of July, we are going to attempt to take a very small car over 10000 miles of very dubious roads to Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. We are funding ALL the costs of the trip ourselves (which seems only fair as we’re the one’s going) however we are looking to support a charity at our final destination so that we can leave behind a positive impact.
We have chosen to support The Christina Noble Children's Foundation (CNCF) who have a variety of projects in Mongolia that change the lives of kids who have often been given a pretty rough hand in life. The funds from the Mongol Rally support the running costs of the incredible Blue Skies Ger Village in Ulaanbaatar. The village houses abandoned or homeless children and gives them a new chance in life with a safe place to live, education, and all the support of a family with their technique of assigning a mother to each Ger (Mongolian Tented House) in the village. Ultimately the Foundation seeks to MAXIMISE THE POTENTIAL OF EACH CHILD it cares for.
Donating through JustGiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Christina Noble Children's Foundation gets the money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, JustGiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation without you having to do anything else.
So please sponsor us and help us help some very needy kids.
Thanks
The Christina Noble Children's Foundation is dedicated to serving vulnerable children in Vietnam & Mongolia who are in need of emergency and long-term medical care, nutritional rehabilitation, educational opportunities, job placement and protecting those at risk of economic and sexual exploitation.
