£5000!!  We made our target plus an extra £1000 in Gift Aid and we still have some funds to come in shortly.  Thanks to everyone for your generosity.  The funds will mainly be used to do some improvements (like roof repairs and an educational activity area) to the Lluest dutch barn complex, with any remaining money being put into general day to day running of the Trust,.

It's not too late to make a donation to this worthy cause!  Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure.  It’s also the most efficient way to raise funds: the Lluest Horse and Pony Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

What a FANTASTIC day we had at the Silver Lining Garden Party!  Thank you so much for joining us.  We had a steady stream of people visit the farm during the day and we raised more than £2000 on the day itself, plus donations are still coming in online.  Thank you for your generosity.

The event would not have been possible without the help of the fantastic committee - thanks to Valerie, Frank, Rich, Rhona and Xanthe.  And to the army of volunteers who flipped burgers, sold raffle tickets, made tea and put up the world's largest marquee - thank you!!

A big thank you to everyone who donated raffle and silent auction prizesand congratulations to all our lucky winners!  If you still have to pay for your silent auction prize, you can do so online here at Justgiving - thanks!

Do you have some photos of the event that you would like to share?  Send them to silverliningappeal@gmail.com

Just £10 buys a bag of pony nuts and a bale of hay; £30 will buy a pony a turnout rug to keep them warm in winter.  So please dig deep now and help me and the ponies by donating whatever you can to keep this little charity and Ginny's dream alive.

Thanks again to everyone for their support.

"In the face of uncertainty there is nothing wrong with hope" the words of Lluest Horse and Pony Trust founder Ginny Hajdukiewicz could not ring more true for me at this time.

I have been diagnosed with terminal cancer...  Friends, you know me well... I will be fighting this disease until the end and with every black cloud there really is a silver lining...

I am on a mission in the coming months to raise £5,000 for the Lluest Horse and Pony Trust, a charity that has a special place in my heart.  Lluest (or 'haven' in Welsh) is the vision of one remarkable woman, whose inspirational drive has saved many ponies from slaughter or wretched lives of cruelty and neglect.  It is a small charity that is entirely dependent on voluntary donations and fund-raising activities and which has never lost sight of its simple motto - "Every Penny Possible For The Ponies".
