Walking St James Way - Spain · 9 March 2014

We’re an anti-poverty charity & community of food banks, working together to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank, while providing practical support for people left without enough money. (Please note we're unable to forward funds onto individual food banks, funds raised here go to Trussell)

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Camino de Santiago (the way of St James) is a 700km nearly 500 mile trek from St. Jean-Pied-du-Port near Biarritz in France to Santiago the west coast of Spain.  I am attempting to do this walk in 28-30 days.  This trek is for my own spiritual development and I cant wait to see how much growth will be gained from this journey.    I will arrrive in Spain (Bilboa) on 8th March at 8pm and will catch a bus the next morning to Port de Jean. As soon as I arrive at the French side of the Pyrennes, my journey will begin.

I thought that this might also be a great opportunity to gain some sponsorship funds for my favourite charities.    My blog page will be http://www.asoftenedheart.wordpress.com where I will attempt to update my progress or non progress of my journey.

Thanks in advance to those who choose to support me and can I ask those that are able to pray, to say a little pray for my safety as I am doing this on my own, for my physical well-being, a growth in my faith and a safe return home.
