Hi I'm having my legs waxed for the Crackle Fund which is for the research
in to Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis which is what sadly took the life of my
Nan on the 7th October 2011 at the age of 63. The Crackle fund are a
group of people who want to find out more about IPF, in particular we want
to know what causes it, what can rectify it and how best to treat people who
suffer with it. They have created this fund to finance activities aimed at
increasing public awareness of the condition, to help people who are
struggling to get to grips with the condition and to promote research into
this strange illness.
It is a terrible disease to live with, there is no cure for this at the
moment and that's why I'm doing this so other families might not have to
lose their loved ones, this can affect any person and the Doctors just don't
know why or how and what causes this.
The government will not fund the research in to idiopathic Pulmonary
Fibrosis or IPF.
