At our kennels in Hersham, Surrey, we care for approximately 80 retired racing greyhounds at any one time. We offer them a place of safety whilst they discover life after racing and wait for a home. Please visit our website www.hershamhounds.org to find out more.

Story

Ok, ive been struggling with my weight for a number of years now. As a pencil thin child and young adult, little did i know that at 37 years of age i would weigh 18 stones.

Enough is enough! myself and my fiancee Kelly are getting married in Las Vegas in August 2013, so thought it would be a good time to make an important decision about my weight. In 2009 i lost a total of 2 stones and 6 lbs in 11 weeks, so i have set myself a tougher challenge this time of 56 lbs or 4 stone. I will be starting this difficult feat on 1st July 2012, after returning from holiday. I am anticipating this will take anywhere between 6-9 months.

I have since February been visiting Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare at weekends and walking homeless and sanctuary hounds. All of the hounds here deserve a future, so i thought what better way to make sure i achieve my goal by helping them on their continuous goal. All of the volunteers who work there work tirelessly hard and have a genuine love for the dogs in their care.

So for those that believe in me, please sponsor me generously. For those who dont believe in me, sponsor me so i can prove you wrong!

PS. If you happen to see me at the kennels walking the dogs after 1st July, please dont offer me a biscuit!
