I'm doing a 60-mile mountain bike ride on Saturday, 20th August to raise money for The Christie, whilst dressed as Bane from Batman. At first I was very sceptical about the idea of doing a big bike ride in fancy dress, but after quite a lot of persuasion I've eventually come round to the idea... all in the name of charity! I'll also be joined by 9 other superheroes on the ride from Haslingden to Hardraw in North Yorkshire.

As you probably know, I enjoy mountain biking, but this challenge is slightly different - not only because of the fancy dress - but also the amount of miles we'll be doing. A normal ride for me is usually around 20 miles, so this will be pretty tough and will take around 8-10 hours.

I'm raising money for The Christie as they provide terrific support to people affected by cancer. Please donate if you can, every donation counts no matter how small.
