TOTAL COMPLETED SO FAR: 500km (I've DONE IT!!)

In the last 2 years, I have run the BUPA London 10KM race in May for MENCAP and in the process have raised £1000 for them.

This year, I have decided to raise money for a charity even closer to home. MASKS (Make A Special Kid Smile) is a charity which supports Booker Park and Stocklake Schools in Aylesbury. These schools are for children with Special Educational Needs and money raised will go towards ensuring the children are supported in whatever capacity they need and will enhance their time in school. My Wife is a teacher at Booker Park so I have seen first hand what a fantastic school Booker Park is and how much of a difference they are making to the childrens lives.

I have set myself a slightly tougher challenge this year. I will be doing the following:

- Entering 3 10k races (provisional list) :

      - Oxford Wrap Up and Run 10k (3rd March) - COMPLETED in 00:59:21

      - Thame 10k (30th June) - COMPLETED in 00:58:31

      - Blenheim Palace 10k (6th October) - COMPLETED in 00:58:43

- Run a total of 500KM in 2013 - COMPLETED on 18/12/13

That equates less than 10KM per week but will require me to keep motivated all year long which will prove to be tougher than running itself.

I really hope I can achieve my goal and help make a difference to some special peoples lives.
