Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A friend of mine David Yarnton has so impressed me by undertaking stage five of the Lawrence Dallaglio Cycleslam challenge that after a few beers I was persuaded to join him on a 549Km bike ride between Rosslare in southern Ireland to Edinburgh in Scotland! David, for those of you who know him is a big hearted man, he was persuaded by Lawerence Dallaglio to join him on stage 5 of his rather epic cycle slam, somehow I got roped into joining them both…. Really not sure how : )

Stage 5 is the final push for a Lawrence and a very tired team. Day one takes us 72km from Rosslare to Arklow, followed by a 75km detour to Dublin on day two. Day three is 86km closer to the end goal as the we ride on to Dundalk, then 88km into Northern Ireland’s Belfast on day four. Teams rest on 9th March, catching a ferry to Scotland, then it’s back on the bicycles to tackle a hefty 103km from Stranraer to Thornhill. The 6th cycling day is a 70km trek to Lanark ready for the very final day - 55km to Edinbugh’s Murrayfield stadium and a triumphant end to a phenomenal challenge.

Lawrence will be cycling to all of the 6 Nations stadia starting in Rome then onto Paris, Twickenham, Cardiff, Dublin and finishing in Edinburgh on 13th March... the target, to raise £1 million for charity. That’s 24 days in the saddle and over 2,800 kilometres and more importantly... in the middle of winter

Now, Lawrence isn't doing this for the fun of it. This immense challenge is all about raising money for Sport Relief and the newly formed Dallaglio Foundation. Every mile cycled is more cash in the charity pot. The net proceeds from the challenge will be split equally between Sport Relief and the Dallagio Foundation.
