My story

Well, the Isle of Marathon was just a fabulous experience. It made such a difference to have Esther, Ben, Jake, Naomi and my mum and dad there to cheer me on and to provide much needed fluids and some salt & vinegar crisps at 23 miles! The clear blue skies and temperatures in excess of 25C made it all the more special. Armed with my water bottle, energy gels and various snack bars I just kept going making sure to walk up some of the hills en route. In the end of was really pleased to finish in 4 hours 48 minutes. My face says it all!

From all sources I have raised somewhere close to £2,000 so thank you so much for your generosity. Any further donations can be made via this site but also directly to Mildmay via their website.

I'm hangin up my marathon shoes for a while!

Simon
