<p>I decided upon attempting the Brighton Marathon in 2012 but having forgotten to register for the ballot I missed out. However I decided upon taking up a Charity place. I wanted to find a charity that was local to me and did amazing work. Although a good friend works for the charity I chose <strong>(Special Effect)</strong> which was the first reason for choosing it, I am pleased to say it ticked all the boxes - especially with the fantastic work they do.</p>

<p>I am aiming to raise <strong>£500 </strong>although I would love to surpass this target. Small steps though! If I can get to <strong>£150 </strong>then I will run the marathon in fancy dress.I have 3 options shown on the site so your vote/opinion would be welcome or another suggestion if you have one. I definitely will not run it in a Man City shirt though!</p>
<p>I know times are very hard at the moment so if you can spare anything at all then that would really be appreciated. Quite a few people have said they would buy me a beer for doing it but if you would like to sponsor me the cost of a beer than that would be much more prefered.</p>
